Warning Against Greed:

  • Luke 12:15 – “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”
  • Colossians 3:5 – “Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.”
  • 1 Timothy 6:10 – “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.”
  • Hebrews 13:5 – “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.'”

Greed Leads to Destruction:

Warning Against Covetousness:

The Perils of Greed:

Beware of Materialism:

Generosity and Sharing:

Seeking God’s Kingdom First:

  • 1 John 2:16 – “For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.”

  • 1 Timothy 6:7 – “For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.”
