Debir, also known as Kiriath-sepher, was an ancient city located in the hill country of Judah. In the Bible, Debir is mentioned in Joshua 15:15-17 as one of the cities given to the tribe of Judah as an inheritance. Its capture by Othniel, the son of Kenaz, is recorded as a notable event in the history of the conquest of Canaan.
